How long is the average lifespan of foils sold by comfort-films?
These kind of foils belong to our Premium Films and can be divided
into two sections with different lifespans:
Indoor foils: 10 - 15 years
Outdoor foils: 5 - 7 years, due to weather and downtilt
(e.g. skylights).
We guarantee:
Indoor foils: 10 years
Outdoor foils: 4 - 5 years
-
Can the foils be removed free of residues?
All of our films are coated with the so-called HIGH-PEEL-glue,
meaning that they can be removed virtually free of residues.
-
Do reflective films really help conceal the indoors from outside
viewers?
Depending on the mirror-effect density our e.g. Spyfilm Silver 15 will
completely shield your privacy from outside gazes.
Please note: To achieve this affect it has to be lighter
outdoors than indoors!

How should I clean the glass before fitting the foil?
Details on how to prepare the glass you may find in our rubic ·Assembling·.

What is infra-red radiation?
Infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation with a longer wavelength
than visible light (400-700 nm), but shorter than the terahertz radiation
and microwaves (~30,000 µm). Infrared radiation spans roughly between
780 nm and 1400 nm. Direct sunlight has a luminous efficacy of about
93 lumens per watt of radiant flux, which includes infrared (47% share
of the spectrum), visible (46%), and ultra-violet (only 6%) light. Material
exposed to infra-red rays partially absorb this radiation and transform
it into heat.
